Music, Mayhem, Ministry and Mental Health – Dave Cooper

From choirboy at Pershore Abbey, singing with the Vienna Boys’ choir –  to playing basketball with Prince at Paisley Park, to hiding Stevie Wonder in a flight case, to touring with Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd & Bob Geldof (to name but a few) – to meeting Nelson Mandela – to being held at gunpoint (three times) – to carrying quarter of a million dollars in cash through the capital of Argentina in a carrier bag – to technically dying in a car accident (twice),  to receiving a dramatic call to Christ at the age of 52, writing two worship albums, miraculously surviving a brain stem stroke, completing a Masters degree in theology, being ordained, leading a church, joining the leadership of a global order of modern monasticism, and serving as Director of Care for an acclaimed group of mental health clinics, Dave Cooper could reasonably be described as someone who has ‘had a life’.  But he never hesitates to describe the greatest adventure of all as finding God.

Today, he continues to confound the established idea of what it is to be a Christian – connecting with people through rock and blues music, modern ministry and mental health advocacy – in the certainty that God wants everyone to experience the joy of salvation.

We will be serving tasty bacon butties also! We would love to see you at this event – so do come along to what will be a spirit filled morning.
