Reflections on Jesus’ Seven Sayings from the Cross
An Online Quiet Morning
Thursday 17th March 2022
“…And (Jesus) being found in appearance of man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death-even death on the cross.” Phil 2:8
This new Quiet Morning led by Rev Anne Hibbert will give us time to reflect on the agony which Jesus endured on the cross leading to the fulfilment of His mission here on earth. Within the four Gospel accounts of Jesus’ life, we read of seven sayings He uttered from the cross. Each of these gives us insight into the person and character of Jesus, but more importantly about the meaning and purpose of the His crucifixion and death. This Quiet morning will be a helpful resource as we journey towards our Easter day celebrations.
During this Quiet Morning there will be two talks given by Anne, an opportunity for personal prayer ministry and two reflection times supported by Biblical handouts, a loop of photo images and gentle inspirational music. All fabulous ingredients to make a very special time out with Father-God!
Members of the Well’s Prayer Team may be able to offer short 10-minute online prayer appointments. There will be no charge for this event, but if you would like to give The Well a donation then this would be great!
If you can’t make Thursday, we are repeating this event on Saturday 26th March.
Comments from Guests who attended a recent Well Online Quiet morning:
“Wow – what a morning! Some special images that I will continue to meditate upon like God the potter reaching inside the pot to mould it. or the gold repairs! Prayer Ministry time too was special and encouraging. Amazing what God can do in 10 minutes.”
“Thank you all so much. God is restoring my body, mind and soul from the brokenness from cancer treatment last year. Such a great morning of restoration and hope.”
“You have no idea truly how God has used these online Quiet mornings to help me …. something that I probably wouldn’t have had the privilege to partake in if it hadn’t been for Lockdown, as travelling to Leamington Spa I think would be too difficult, tiring and probably traumatic for me (I don’t travel well, nor do directions = immense stress!)…so thank you for offering these to me/us.”
“Thank you so much for this teaching and rest and restoration Anne and for the two prayers minsters who were such a blessing”
