In the summer of 2000, God gave Anne Hibbert and Ruth Lockyer a unique vision to organise a regular event for women, particularly emphasising The Father’s Love.
Streams in the Desert is the result – events for women who want to meet with God and find encouragement and spiritual refreshment.
Each evening includes refreshments on arrival, worship, a speaker, prayer and a small gift to take home.
‘The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.
They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them and sorrow and sighing will flee away.’

Ali Summers is Associate Senior Minister at Rising Brook Church in Stafford, with responsibility for overseeing and encouraging spiritual growth through discipleship, group life and pastoral care. She is part of the preaching and teaching team and is director of Rising Brook’s Leadership School. Ali is passionate about seeing people develop and grow into the people God made them to be and also oversees the development of personal discipleship and Freedom in Christ and Bethel Sozo ministries. She is part of the leadership team for the Fresh Streams network for the UK.
