THEME AND REFLECTION TIME
In the Bible the Potter and the clay illustration is a very powerful one and incredibly visual. God clearly wants His people to know that He has a plan and purpose for each of our lives. And if we go out of ‘shape’ whilst on the Potters wheel He has the right to reshape, remould and transform us into His perfect and unique design. Thus, He is making us into His intended ‘vessel’ which He can use for His Kingdom purposes. During the day Anne will be exploring this powerful and life changing analogy as we start a new year. What does it mean to be clay in the Potter’s hand? How does God want to bring healing into our life, so that we can develop into our fullest potential?
During this Quiet day, there will be two talks in the morning and one in the afternoon. Anne will be teaching from various passages in the Bible which pick up the clay theme and how Father-God has a unique design for each of us and how He longs for us to trust Him with every turn of His ‘potter’s wheel!’.
Each session will be followed by silent prayer and reflection times. Following the afternoon talk there will be an optional creative activity on the theme.
Throughout the day, members of The Well Christian Healing Centre will be available to offer short times of individual prayer. A Biblical activity sheet will be available after each talk to help maximise these times. Jephson Gardens is nearby to enjoy short walks within God’s creation.
