Jesus says, “Do not worry…” and yet many of us during lock down have experienced anxious thoughts which have been overwhelming and perhaps led us into a place of fear. This event, which was fully booked for the 18th June, is being repeated so that more people can attend.
Jesus was well aware of how crippling these two emotions can be. He said to His followers ‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?’ Matthew 6:25 and when He walked on the water, He exclaimed to his fearful disciples ‘Fear not, it is I.’ Mark 6: 50.
During this quiet morning Anne will be teaching from Bible passages that will help us to trust God and practically suggest ways in which we can deal with worry as lockdown restrictions are lifted and our new normal emerges. The programme will be as follows,
10.00am Welcome, Intro and preparation for silence
10.15am Talk One
10.40am Individual quiet reflection using an optional Well Handout
11.25am Talk Two
11.50am Individual quiet reflection using an optional Well Handout
Members of the Well’s Prayer team may be able to offer short 10 min online prayer appointments.
There will be no charge for this event but if you would like to give The Well a donation then this would be great!
Two handouts to support Anne’s talks will be sent to those attending on Wednesday 24th June.
Bookings are closed for this event.
