To London School of Theology and beyond!

WHAT an amazing day!

Four of us had the privilege and opportunity of leading a Quiet Day for the students of London School of Theology on Wednesday.

It was an early start for myself, Liz, Rae and Derek from The Well prayer team and we were very grateful to Derek’s satnav for guiding us round the heavy traffic on the M40!

It was great walking into such an international group of students who were hungry for God!

It was just so encouraging how all the short prayer appointments we offered filled up immediately and a joy to see the men’s appointments went before the women’s! In all, we did 41 appointments!

I spoke on John 10, Jesus as the Good Shepherd, which is a very rich theme in the Bible.

In the afternoon I led a meditation which was exceedingly well received and many people gave feedback in the concluding session about what God had said and shown them!

We left at 4.30pm and the car was full of thanksgiving as we sang and praised our way home after such an incredible day.

This week we haven't had our regular prayer sessions as The Pump Rooms was in use for the Leamington Festival, so we used the chance to have a team time on Tuesday looking at the power of silence.

It was also a chance to consider the nuts and bolts of our ministry, what we offer our Guests and how we might improve it.

In a similar vein and as we come up to the tenth anniversary of God giving me the vision for The Well, I am taking some time out to pause and draw breath before we step into the next ten years!

I am really excited about starting a three-week personal development and reflection break - and excited to be going to America to do an inner healing course!

I will also be catching up with someone I mentored a few years ago when he was over here studying at Oxford and who is now about to start up a healing ministry in the States.

So it should be an inspirational few weeks and I certainly hope to send some words about the course for next week’s blog – but just in case the technology doesn’t work at any stage, I know my colleague Richard will step into my shoes and bring you the latest news!
