Special evening in Bedworth

IT was a great joy and delight to go to All Saints Church in Bedworth yesterday evening for a Travelling Well service.

It was fabulous as we arrived to see a huge poster outside with the Well logo on advertising a healing service – the church is right in the middle of the town so it was a great way to get the message out.

I was speaking about how God heals today and as part of that talked about the story in Luke 5 about the men who was lowered through the roof to Jesus. In verse 20 it says, ‘When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven”.’

I linked this to what we often see in The Well, that forgiveness can get in the way of healing. There have been many occasions when we’ve helped people to forgive and that has released healing. Unforgiveness is not the key in every situation but for some people, being able to forgive makes such a difference.

In Luke 5 it also says of Jesus: ‘And the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.’

That’s what we pray in The Pump Rooms and what we prayed last night. People were amazed and in awe at what God can do – and we are in The Well!

We love to share people’s healing stories and so last night I also shared one of the testimonies that is now available on YouTube and is just so incredible – if you haven’t seen it yet I will leave you with the link and do pass it on to anyone who does ask if God heals today, because he most certainly does:
