Soaked and Restored!

27 February 2015

I met a Guest this week who shared her joy and delight after attending a recent Soaking Prayer session. She was in a very hard place where everything seemed to be falling apart in her life. Having parked her car she very nearly turned back to go home as she couldn’t face even walking into Soaking Prayer. After waiting a few minutes she took a deep breath and went in. She described how the Team welcomed her and immediately put her at ease. After hearing a very short talk on Father-God’s love she went and found a place to rest and receive.

As the gentle music played God started to speak to her. She felt reassured and began to relax. During the soaking time peace seemed to invade every part of her body and especially her mind. At the end she felt relaxed and hope was in her heart: something she hasn’t experienced for many months. Her situation is still very challenging but just in that short time at Soaking Prayer God met her in a very unexpected way.

After this encouraging conversation I had the privilege of leading Soaking Prayer last evening. It was such a special time. It was very obvious that the Holy Spirit was doing some deep things in our Guests’ lives. Oh, I just love seeing Father-God at work. One of the prayers I prayed for our Guests as they soaked in God’s presence was the one that Paul used in Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. What an amazing God we know and love – whatever our situation He gives us all the resources we need!
