Sheep invasion in Leamington Spa!

THE Well office is in the middle of Leamington Spa not far from its bustling shopping streets but there’s been a very rural soundtrack to our work this week.

That’s because Anne has been preparing to lead a sheep-themed holiday at Lee Abbey next week, writes Richard on one of his occasional stints in the blogging hot seat.

So alongside the careful preparation of leaflets and handouts, we’ve also had the delightful interludes when Anne has been researching sheep video clips and we get taken away from the urban rooftops to the hills and fields of an idyllic countryside setting.

Lee Abbey has its own idyllic setting in north Devon and we’re all excited that Anne has been invited to lead this week and look forward to hearing and sharing how God has been at work there.

In the meantime, The Well’s normal activities carry on as normal next week with our usual prayer ministry sessions at The Pump Rooms.

The snow flurries have certainly had an impact in the last week with yesterday’s soaking prayer being cancelled and last Saturday’s Quiet Day postponed to Saturday, March 16 in a change to our published programme – you can check the new arrangements in the Quiet Day section here on our website.

Talking of changes, when Anne comes back she will be getting ready for the first Streams in the Desert of the new year, on Monday, February 4 and if you haven’t heard already, Streams has changed venue – it has moved back to St Paul’s Church in Leicester Street, Leamington and will be meeting there… again, full details on the website!
