In the holiday spirit

THERE is a real buzz around Leamington at the moment as the fine weather and school holidays bring  an almost carnival feel to the town.

It’s great to witness excited laughter, chatter and people enjoying the boost of blue skies after such a miserable run of grey ones, writes Richard on one of his occasional blog moments.

Here at The Well our regular prayer ministry carries on as normal through the six weeks of the school break and with The Pump Rooms having such a wonderful situation on The Parade and opposite Jephson Gardens, we often find ourselves getting a taste of the holidays spirit with people booking or popping in from far away places.

Other aspects of our work do take a break in August, so in recent weeks we have had our last Quiet Days until September and yesterday evening our last soaking prayer, again until September.

Yesterday’s session was one of the special soaking prayer times we run for pregnant women three times a year. The next one of those will be on November 28 but the next regular soaking prayer will be on Wednesday afternoon, September 4, kicking off a regular pattern of sessions up until Christmas.

Through this period the office is open as usual so do call if you would like to book for prayer ministry and you can also book online now for the next Quiet Days, soaking prayer and other events, including our very special conference with Kenny Borthwick on October 12.

And, in the meantime, whether the next few weeks mean work, rest or play - God bless you!
