Theme and reflection time

Jesus commissioned His disciples in Matthew 28:19-20:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The Book of Acts is an exciting account of how the disciples actually achieved this. It is action-packed with Holy Spirit encounters in all the chapters, both with huge groups such as on the day of Pentecost, and with individuals like Cornelius, Stephen, Saul and countless others. In the Acts of the Apostles we read about miracles, sermons, imprisonments and great escapes, as well as a shipwreck and the miraculous conversion and ministry of St Paul.

During the day Anne will teach on the power of the Holy Spirit and on how He can help us to fulfil Jesus’ commission and mandate to share the Good News and heal the sick!

Anne will give two talks in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each session will be followed by a silent prayer and reflection time. Following the afternoon talk there will be an optional creative activity on the theme.
