Here we go for 2012!

WELL, first of all may I wish you a happy new year – may it offer lots of opportunities, Holy Spirit challenges and, of course, supernatural blessings!

And may I thank you for your interest and wonderful support in 2011!

As we look to the year ahead, I’d like to share that wonderful verse from Deuteronomy 31, verse 8: ‘The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.’

Wow, what a great word at this time of year!

I’m really looking forward to 2012 and believe it will be another year of growth for the Well as we approach our eighth anniversary in February.

This week our regular prayer ministry started again after the Christmas break and we were incredibly busy.

One of the people I prayed with had a really amazing appointment where they were able to forgive somebody and it made such a difference. They hadn’t realised the heaviness this unforgiveness had caused.

They had been carrying this baggage but had now put it down, had laid it at the cross and now had clear hands to receive from God! Forgiveness truly is an act of God!

It was also good to meet a couple who came to The Pump Rooms after finding out about us through our advert about the special bereavement service we’re holding this Sunday, January 15, Remembering Our Loved Ones.

It was great to welcome them to The Well and we also hope to welcome more people at Sunday’s service, which we are holding at St Paul’s Church, Leicester Street, Leamington, with a 3pm start.

There’s a lot of preparation going on at the office for that and also for our first Quiet Days of the year, which are on Thursday and Saturday, January 26 and 28.

The title is Letting God the Master Potter Mould You in 2012 and as I do more and more reading, I realise what an amazing subject it is for the start of the year. We’ve still got some places left on both days, so do contact the office if you’d like to join us!
