About Us

THE Well Christian Healing Centre offers prayer for healing and a variety of events that provide Christian teaching and encouragement, all of which are available to any member of the public.

People often think we are part of a church but while we have links with many different churches, we are an independent charity funded by donations and our own activities.

Our prayer for healing sessions attract people of all ages and faiths, people seeking healing for a wide range of conditions. We do not charge a guest coming for prayer, although donations are gratefully received as they help support the ongoing provision of this free ministry.

The majority of those who attend our other events are Christians, or are interested in exploring the Christian faith, although the events are open to all and we do not enquire as to the religion or belief of any attendee.

Many events, such as our conferences and quiet days, do require payment in order to book a place and this fee covers the cost of hosting the event and of staff time involved in organising, leading, administrating and accounting for the event. The Well is a “not for profit” organisation and any surplus arising from an event is used to fund the free ministry activities that we offer.

The full range of our services are described in more detail on the What We Offer section, which is updated as events are scheduled. We also sell a limited range of products, like notelets with original artwork and CDs of our previous events or sometimes by associated musicians.

The Well Christian Healing Centre is registered in the UK as both a company and a charity. It is a company limited by guarantee (incorporated on 12 February, 2003, number 04664030) and a charity registered with the Charity Commission in the UK, (number 1097443). Accounts are filed annually with both the Charity Commission and Companies House.

The Well’s founder and director Rev Anne Hibbert is a full-time paid staff member. She is also an ordained minister in the Church of England. The story of how The Well came into being is a remarkable one and you can find out more in this section, together with details of our mission and vision, a who’s who – and a chance to watch our DVD which shows how God heals today!

The Well has a management team made up of paid staff (two full-time and one part-time currently) and volunteers, and a trustee board which meets 4-6 times a year (who are Directors of the company and registered as such at Companies House). We have an active volunteer team of 80-100 people who support the various events and our office administration.

We are based in Leamington Spa. Our events are held at venues in the area and on occasion at locations outside of Leamington, as invited by other churches and organisations (see the Events Diary for the venue for a particular event).
