A very special visitor

30

IF you're a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know there’s rarely a dull moment at The Well but this week proved to be one of the most memorable!

On Wednesday morning I was in one of our prayer booths with another team member, praying for one of our Guests.

People often say how The Pump Rooms has a very special atmosphere and a sense of calm, which makes it such a wonderful place for our Ministry!

So I was a little bewildered when the normal tranquillity was disturbed by what sounded like a lively group of men arriving at reception.

I knew we weren’t expecting any groups in so didn’t know what was going on!

At the right moment we went and checked and, wow, what a surprise!

Our unexpected guests turned out to be none other than the Bishop of Coventry, Bishop Christopher and a number of colleagues who had popped into see us while on their walk from the south of the diocese to meet those on the main Coventry Pilgrimage.

Bishop Christopher’s route started on Sunday at Shipston-on-Stour and it was wonderful they decided to stop off and see The Well in action as they passed through Leamington Spa! He seemed very impressed by what he saw and also by that very special Pump Rooms environment!

I was able to share this exciting news at one of our team events yesterday evening. These happen twice a year and are a chance for everybody involved with The Well to get together for an evening.

It is a chance to worship and pray together, share news, receive teaching and introduce new members of the team. Most of us gather to have a meal together first and there’s also time for a quiz and other fun stuff as well.

It always proves to be a special time and yesterday’s was no exception – a lovely reminder of all the amazing people who have been part of our journey as we head towards June and the tenth anniversary of God giving me the vision for The Well!

May I take this chance to wish you all a Happy Easter and as it's Good Friday next week, the next article will be in a fortnight!
